Welcome to Club Pomona!

This magnificent mountain plays a major role in the club’s annual events calendar, in conjunction with the annual King of the Mountain Festival. Over two days of the festival weekend, Club Pomona hosts the popular King of the Mountain Men’s Invitation Fours competition. Since 1986, this event has attracted some of the best bowlers on the Sunshine Coast, as well as others who travel from as far as Toowoomba and the Gold Coast to participate.

The Queen of the Mountain bowls carnival for the ladies is held on the Wednesday before the main festival, and has been running for about five years.

Two other major events are held at our Club in May every year – Men’s Cooroora Triples and the Ladies Cooroora Fours.

Bowling is a great form of exercise offering a variety of health benefits, and is particularly good for people trying to lose weight; tone and strengthen their muscles, and reduce their risk of disease.

Bowling can be a very serious business when you’re competing, but it’s also a lot of fun and, here at Club Pomona, we love to socialise and have a laugh!

As well as running competitions and tournaments throughout the year, we also enjoy regular Twilight Social Bowls, and always welcome visitors.

In fact, with the delicious menu, great service and hospitality on offer at the club’s King of the Mountain Bistro, many visitors drop by just for a bite to eat and a drink.

Within walking distance of Pomona’s quirky boutiques, antique shops, galleries, park and schools, the Pomona Bowls Club is conveniently located for locals and visitors, and we’re always happy to see new faces.
